2011 Ohio Volunteer Leadership Conference: The Journey Continues’¦

Attend the 2011 Ohio Volunteer Leadership Conference, hosted by Ohio Girl Scout councils. Whether you are a non-Girl Scout in a leadership position, a Girl Scout facilitator, service team member, or troop leader, you will gain valuable skills to help you meet the needs of your position!

‘¢ Learn about Leave No Trace® Front-Country program and how to apply it to the classes you teach and the life you lead! Play games and activities to re-enforce the Seven Leave No Trace Principles with your groups.
‘¢ What Kids Need to Succeed – This positive approach to youth development is not about crisis management but about instilling the values and skills in young people to ensure their success.
‘¢ It’s All Fun and Games – Discover how using hula hoops, balloons, tennis balls and more support decision making skills, teambuilding, and inclusion
‘¢ Live Healthy, Lead Healthy – Burdened by fitness crazes and fad diets? Come explore the values, issues, and strategies that are needed to live healthy and lead healthy.
‘¢ Raising Strong Daughters – All girls deserve the opportunity to develop into strong, independent women. Learn techniques to that will help start the girls in your life on their way to becoming the powerful young women you want them to be.

More than 30 workshops are available to help adults manage a wide variety of career, volunteer administration, and general life challenges.

‘¢Enhance your facilitation and management skills with the most recognized and effective industry models.

Where: The Columbus Airport Marriott, 1375 N. Cassady Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43219.
Cost: Conference fee is $135, and includes workshop supplies, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and a conference patch.
Registration deadline: Monday, June 20.
Room Fee: Rooms are reserved through the Marriott at $99 per night (taxes not included).
