-Create speaker’s bureau using DVD
-Create links to Website so it will be returned on Google searches. (Member organizations, please link to kidsandnature.org!)
-Create events linking everyone for a weekend, like “Get Kids Outside Weekend” “Family FunFest” or “Great Outdoors Week.”
-Website – have interactive map and calendar
-Doctors write prescriptions for outdoor play
-Teachers assign outdoor play for homework
-Use materials – card/bookmark – for social services, libraries to leave with action items.
-Incentive booklet or program for getting outside, like the library’s Summer Reading program
-Putting info where people are everyday: grocery stores, libraries, community centers
-Develop something like the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for nature+kid-friendly places; such as childcare centers, schools, etc who take kids outside on a regular basis in a natural area.
-Celebrity spokesperson, i.e. Heather Pick
-Create item that everyone passes out: “50 Things to Do Outside” pm a Frisbee or something that actually gets you outside.
