Summary:
Teachers and administrators face barriers
– Liability
– Fear of losing classroom control outdoors
We can prepare teachers with “outdoor etiquette” before the program.
We can look for data to support outdoor ed.
We must start at the level of teacher/parent and find the one or two supportive teachers at each school.
We can develop our products to meet the academic content standards, including pre- and post-visit.
