Update from Columbus’ Active Living Institute

Member Barb Seckler, head of the Active Living Institute, testified at Maryellen O’Shaughnessy’s hearing on behalf of Active Living and the importance of more accessible and safer biking as a part of physical activity.

Also, as Columbus Public Health and the Institute continue work to localize the State of Ohio’s Physical Education plan, Barb would like an area to address unstructured play. Her staff person will be looking at the Vacant Lot group’s work as part of their best practices research.
