Notes from Communication Team

This team was formed at Friday’s Leadership Retreat.

The following is an abbreviated version of many things we talked about during our session. We are currently looking to add members to the Communication Team. If you are interested, email Alice, Sue, Marc or Leslie.

Internal Communications:
Chugging along. Some tweaks required, like Facebook Group changing to Facebook Fan Page

External Communications:

Audience: Educators, Parents, Children

Message clear of LNCI; needs to connect to an activity or activities that audience
can be engaged

Different methods for different audiences

Tap different members for specific messages with specific outlets

Monthly column / one article and make specific for different audiences

Link LNCI logo to all members’ organization websites

Uniform display materials that can be stored at a persons house ‘“ need volunteers for these fairs

Speaker’s Bureau ‘“ need PowerPoint available to be used by and for different
folks, including DVD

How to spread the word about speaker’s bureau ‘“ different groups?

How can we help member organizations get more participation?

Group will meet once a month, possibly at ODNR or in Worthington
