Organized by the Ohio Leave No Child Inside Collaboratives (LNCI), the Call to Action Rally is an opportunity to bring attention to the importance of outdoor nature experiences in our children’s and communities’ healthy development.

-Multi-media presentation on statewide efforts to reconnect children with nature
-Regional awards and recognition

10 A.M. PRESS CONFERENCE

-Welcome video from Jack Hanna
-LNCI leaders release of the report on Ohio’s Initiative to Reconnect Children and Nature
-Remarks from state cabinet directors on progress being made in Ohio to reconnect children and nature
-Presentation by ODNR Director Sean Logan of the Ohio Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights
-Brief congratulatory remarks from other LNCI regional events, including Miss Ohio Becky Minger

Q: Where will the LNCI rally be held?
A: The main event (a press conference with the Governor/Mayors signing a Proclamation introducing the Ohio Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights) will be held in Columbus, Ohio at the Grange Audubon Nature Center near downtown Columbus. There will also be five related events going on simultaneously in different parts of Ohio where there are Leave No Child Inside collaboratives or interest in LNCI. These related rallies will be connected via video feed. The related rallies will take place in:
a. Cincinnati
b. Dayton
c. NW Ohio
d. NE Oho
e. SE Ohio at the Wilds

Q: What is the purpose of the LNCI rally or why is it happening?
A: There are three answers, really!
1. To successfully unveil three major items:

a. the Ohio Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights and accompanying Proclamation
b. the report created by LNCI
c. the LNCI awareness/educational campaign via a press conference with LNCI, the Governor and other department heads supporting LNCI

2. To promote multi-sector support for the Ohio Children’s Outdoor Bill of rights and for the Leave No Child Inside movement.

3. To launch an awareness campaign to educate families, teachers, physicians, urban planners and other leaders and to celebrate all the wonderful progress in Ohio related to this movement!
