Please take a moment to read this short message from member John O’Meara, executive director of Metro Parks.
The Metro Parks levy is on the ballot in Franklin County on May 5. This is the primary source of funding for the Metro Parks system. The levy will cost the average homeowner in Franklin County $36 per year.
If you believe in conserving parkland and providing outdoor education for children then you should vote to support the levy and encourage your friends to vote for the Metro Parks levy. The levy will help maintain the existing Metro Parks, allow for the creation of three new Metro Parks in Franklin County, help protect Big Darby Creek, and expand programming for children and seniors.
