November 18, 2010With MORPC’s new Interactive Map Room, you can view and personalize one of five specialized maps.
The Interactive Map Room presents five maps to choose from:
– The Columbus Metro Bike Users Map conveys road maneuverability for bicyclists
– The Regional Bikeway Plan Map identifies existing, expected and recommended bikeways
– The Central Ohio Points of Interest Map identifies public service, recreation & culture, commercial, transportation and development points
– The Capital Ways: 2008-2030 Transportation Plan Project Location Map identifies planned transportation projects up to year 2030
– The Population Forecasts and Future Development Map outlines zones where 30-year data forecasting has been done regarding jobs, households and population
Each map provides an aerial view of the central Ohio region. The Web Map Portal provides a list of features that allow users to zoom in and out on a specified area, find addresses or other locations, measure a selected distance or area, get information on a specified area, and more. These features can be used collectively to create, save and print a personalized map.
