March 22, 2016We have three tracks happening on our Summit Day March 12, 2016. The first two have supporting flyers.
- The Green Schoolyard Workshop for adults starts at 8 AM with separate presentations until 11 AM. Workshop focus in on steps schools take to add habitat and gardens to the school grounds for easy student access to nature. - MVLNCI 5th Annual Summit for adults. The Summit hall opens at 11 for registration then begins at 11:30 and ends at 4. We will have a great set of resources on Display during the summit with ample time for our participants to see them. The Summit is featured on the FRMP webpage on the top banner. www.metroparks.org Here is our online description. Our Summit builds access to nature for our children making them happier, healthier and smarter. Highlights include Keynote: Harman Elementary School Engages the World, a trans-formative message on how this Oakwood City School incorporated outdoor learning components into multiple grade levels. And presentations: Five Rivers MetroParks OUTstanding Teacher Awards; Dayton Metro Library: The Great Outdoors; and Learning Tree Farm: Nature Pre-school and Programs getting Children OUTside. The Summit will also feature Networking Opportunities, Resource Displays and Nature Clubs for Families Workshop. - Conservation Kids Tikes (3-5 yr olds) Voyagers and Explorers (6-13 yr olds) for parents and children 3:15 PM to 4:45 PM Nature Fun Parents and children visit the MVLNCI Summit Displays and then go on an outdoor nature discovery hike.
