Welcome New Member: Hawthorne Elementary

LNCI is happy to welcome Hawthorne Elementary, of Westerville City Schools. School Assistant Principal Chris Doolittle reports the following great outdoor work already happening:

We are a Kindergarten through fifth grade public elementary school and are always looking for science-related resources to help our students and teachers. We promote student observations and questions about the natural environment. Our fifth grade classrooms have an active partnership with The Metro Parks in the SEED program, we have an onsite community garden, and most recently added raised garden beds which convert into greenhouses where our students grow vegetables. As the vegetables grow so do the possibilities!
