July 27, 2012New Children and Nature Documentary in the Works
September 1, 2012Once again ODNR’s Project Learning Tree (PLT) and Project WET time-tested environmental education programs will partner for a facilitator leadership workshop to train volunteers to become program leaders and present the projects to others in their local communities. The dates are October 23 & 24, 2012 at the Horace Collins Center at Alum Creek State Park. It’s only $50 per person for the two-day professional development workshop. Participants receive the latest of the PLT and WET experiential, hands-on curriculum resources to use with PreK -12 grade youth, getting them active outdoors whenever possible. In turn, workshop participants will be certified to present PLT and/or WET to other adults in their own local educational settings be it park, school, college, nature center, zoo, etc. See www.plt.org and www.projectwet.org for program information. There will be optional 1 semester of graduate credit available through Ashland University for those who are interested – Course # 6145X3. Questions?
