April 11, 2011Hello Teachers,
Each June, the Ohio Division of Forestry hosts a two day workshop for graduate credit. The attachments describe this year’s theme stressing the importance of forested watersheds. Our goal every year is to provide you with useful information and ideas to help your students better understand and appreciate Ohio’s natural resources.
Please share these with your colleagues and consider this opportunity, and please inform any new teachers on your staff. We have a wide range of pre-K through high school teachers and resource professionals who attend, at no charge for the first day, and a minimal fee the second day to offset some of the cost of Project Learning Tree materials. You can attend either day or both.
Project Learning Tree lessons are correlated to the Ohio Content Standards for science and social studies. http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/education/correlations/
