Educational Program Features Owls
Nelsonville, OH ‘“ (February 22, 2011) Come and join Wayne National Forest Saturday March 5th at the Wayne National Forest Headquarters and discover what’s making a strange sound in the dark? We will explore the incredible world of owls. Learn all about owls in Ohio and dissect their pellets! Why? To find out what they eat! Discover how they fly silently and how they see so well.
Bring your kids and enjoy a free fun-filled educational program that’s designed for kids’ preschool to 5th grade.
There will be two sessions, one from 10:00 to 11:00 and another from 12:00 to 1:00. Classes are free but spaces are limited to 15 participants per session. Make sure you sign up early.
Due to the length of the program, visitors are asked to remain on the office grounds during the program. Register by calling (740) 753-0101 the week before the class to ensure there are enough materials for everyone!
The Wayne National Forest features its Wild Weekend Discovery Series during the first Saturday of every month. Get your Smokey card punched each time you participate, on your 6th visit receive a patch!
