THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
A new partnership could keep the Licking County nature center open while giving a Johnstown-based nonprofit group room to spread its wings.
Ohio Nature Education is negotiating to take over the county’s William C. Kraner Nature Center at Taft Reserve, said Manon VanSchoyck, director of the group. The Kraner center is in danger of closing next year because of financial cutbacks.
The move will allow VanSchoyck to offer her wildlife-education programs to a wider audience and will provide a more suitable location for the more than 40 animals she keeps at her home because they are too ill or injured to survive in the wild…..
