Update on our efforts and connecting with other Ohio Collaboratives

Initiatives to connect and re-connect children and families to the outdoors are expanding on many levels and in new ways across our nation and in Ohio. On April 9th leaders from Ohio representing a variety of sectors such as parks and recreation, education, health and urban planning will participate in a state-wide Call to Action to Leave No Child Inside! Visit www.kidsandnature.org in early May for highlights of this gathering.

Our local leadership is also working with leadership from around the state (collaboratives have formed in NE Ohio and NW Ohio, joining the existing ones in Cincinnati and Columbus – with a new group forming in Dayton) to plan a large-scale fall summit to which you will be invited to take part! We will celebrate our successes and unveil our vision for progress statewide to Leave No Child INSIDE.
