Notes from 2009 Leadership Retreat:
Governance-
1. 1st meeting will be Oct. 5th, 2009 at 9:30 am (we will try to meet 2 x in Oct.)… assuming this day and time works for everyone.
2. Goals for first meeting….begin discussion below:
a. Vision
b. Review Mission (do we want to keep what we have?)
c. M.O. for Mission and Vision
d. Then determine what organizational structure is needed
e. Traci will review best practices from other LNCI initiatives,
Collaboratives around the country, as well as from other
organizations.
3. Meeting 2x a month and then monthly after this; think about key questions we want to answer; what are our goals

1. Commitment from 3-4 folks
2. Link to Jenny’s brother/attorney
3. Need to link with vision, etc.
4. Goal: Jan. 2010 have info to submit
5. 5014c/5013c; Statutory Agent to be named; Fed’l paperwork; Incorporating to protect individuals; Defining charitable; steps for this can be completed within calendar year; meeting with Doug Morgan (lawyer);
