April 3, 2009FROM ODNR:
Good afternoon,
As we continue to launch the Explore the Outdoors program, I just wanted to touch base with everyone on some final details.
1) Please visit our Web site www.exploretheoutdoorsohio.com to check the location and event sections to ensure the info we have for your park(s) is accurate.
2) Visit the resources section and click on partner to view all the resources we have available to you, including logos, press releases, web banners, web icons, etc. The only thing we are still working on is the advertisement and poster for your use. We ask that you please help us promote the program by using these resources (especially the release and link to our Web site)
3) Also, we hope to send approximately 500 activity guides to each participating district ‘“ you should receive these sometime next week. I’d like to encourage you to distribute guides at any event in which children can receive the code at and are listed on our site as Explore the Outdoors events. If you need more guides, just let us know.
I’ve also attached a word doc with all the Explore the Outdoors codes. Please make sure that these are forwarded to all of your field staff who may be asked for the code in the event that a poster cannot be located. Also, please make sure that those organizing an Explore the Outdoors event (listed on the Web site) have the codes to give to those that attend.
Let me know if there are any other questions. Children will be able to input their codes by next week ‘“ we’ve already had an e-mail from a child that has completed all eight activities!
Thanks again for your support of this program!
