You’re invited to participate in a discussion and visioning process concerning Columbus communities’ Future Recreation Needs and Resources

The key agenda item of the Columbus Community Coalition’s first meeting of 2009 will be a discussion of the future of recreation services and facilities in Columbus, featuring a panel of speakers who will help CCC members and other community leaders begin to develop a vision of the city’s recreation needs 3 to 5 years into the future and beyond.

While the discussion will not focus on the recent and proposed cuts to the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department budget and services, it is these cuts which have prompted our interest in looking at Columbus communities’ current and future recreation needs and considering how we will identify resources to meet those needs.

Panel members will include representatives of the Columbus Recreation and Parks Commission and other local agencies and organizations.
