In 2009, FIRSTLINK will present the first annual Agent of Change Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Service. The time frame for service is calendar 2008. You are invited to nominate one or more volunteers in one of the following categories:
Advocacy: Advocate (on any level) for a cause, person or belief or change.
Basics: Service on behalf of those in need of basic services such as food or shelter.
Board: Achievement by a single board member, committee or entire board.
Neighborhood: Service in or on behalf of a geographic area.
Safety: Service in the areas of preparedness, response or security.
Technology: Develop, design, or prefect technology to advance the work or outreach of a Non-Profit Organization (NPO).
These descriptions are intended as a guideline, not a strict definition.
Please use one form per category and person/small group.
You may nominate a single volunteer or small group of no more than 15. You may submit as many nominations in any category as long as they are on separate forms.
Judging:
One winning nominations in each category will be determined by a committee of community volunteers/administrators based on this formula: Volunteer Activities + Impact = Agent of Change. Judges will consider innovation, compassion and significant change when choosing the Agents of Change.
Presentation:
Presentation of awards will take place to kick-off National Volunteer Week on Monday, April 20th at Dodge Recreation Center at 8:30 AM. More on this event to come.
Deadline for nominations is 5 pm, Friday, March 13th.
