Social Studies Education Blog features LNCI
December 4, 2008MARK YOUR CALENDAR: State Parks&Rec Conference in Columbus features LNCI!
December 4, 2008I am so excited to announce that there has been a flurry of activity in Ohio around the Leave No Child INSIDE Movement.
As you know, Leave No Child Inside of Greater Cincinnati has been around doing great work for several years now.
And we here at The Leave No Child Inside Central Ohio Collaborative are always hard at work.
Now we have a Collaborative forming in Northwest Ohio, headed by Mary Warren of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Their blog is currently located at: http://nwohio.blogspot.com
You can contact Mary there.
In the Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio area, there is a group called the Earth Day Coalition. This group has been working for several year already, and under the leadership of Dawn Wrench, who also works with the Environmental Education Council of Ohio, the group is looking to become the point of contact for Leave No Child Inside in that part of the state! (The details of how they will integrate the Leave No Child Inside phrase and the Ohio LNCI logo as part of their existing group are still in the works.)
This is extremely exciting, and I believe it will help us present a united front in Ohio, and also make it simple for any individual or organization in our state to find a collaborative or coalition nearby!
Congratulations to all these leaders and their groups!
