April 19, 2008Success Story: Columbus schools turns ball field into nature preserve!
April 23, 2008BIG THANKS to all of you for your support and/or participation in last night’s screening of “Where Do the Children Play?”
It appears as if we had approx. 50 attendees. Received 31 feed-back forms most rating very good. All comments were thoughtful and each person seemed to bring at least one thing away from this that was a new ah-ha!
This a.m. I received a phone call from one of my friends who came — a parent of 2 young ones who said she was so moved that she went out and bought a tent today! I paid a visit this a.m. to a preschool teacher who went and is also part of the Action for Children pilot project. She loved it and feels like she has better insight into children’s behavior and how beneficial nature is’¦she is talking to director about developing their playground into a more nature-inspired place for the children vs. one which is mostly sanitized with plastic.
Our panelists I believe were a value-added to a somewhat slow film ‘¦Dr. Wendy Anderson, who I believe is now a valuable ally for AfC’s work and is a sweet-heart. Jenny Morgan co-chair of LNCI sent me an email this a.m. appreciating the collaboration with LNCI and promoting her music. And, Paul a parent and member of LNCI, too, appreciated our including him.
Arena Grand certainly set the stage to showcase the documentary.
Thanks to all the hard workers at Action for Children who took the lead in screening this film in Columbus!
What a team effort! YEA!
