April 7, 2016 kidsandnature Uncategorized

When: Tuesday, April 19 and Saturday, April 23, 2016; 9 am-3 pm

Do a good deed AND learn a new valuable new skill!  Be an extra pair of hands for the Basket Farmer, Howard Peller, as he constructs domed living willow huts in the natural outdoor play environments at two Early Childhood centers in Columbus.  Howard will be planting and weaving together living willow rods that he grows on his central Ohio farm, using simple tools and basket-making techniques that he’s acquired around the world.  Interested volunteers can join Howard for the entire day or for just an hour or two on either day. You can see examples of Howard’s projects at www.basketfarmer.com
