ESSENCES/KEY POINTS
– Technology is ingrained in young people; it’s a way of life
– Personal responsibility or parental guidelines for balancing nature and technology
– Disconnecting can help clear the mind, but lose opportunity to share experiences with others
– Students will walk, bike if destinations are safely accessible and route is scenic
– Outdoor experiences should be at all grade levels, all content areas, lunch.

NEXT STEPS FOR THIS GROUP:
– Make recycling easier in school facilities
– service hours for recycling clothes, other items
– encourage staff development for outdoors
