    Hello,

I noticed the Grow Outside: A guide to outdoor play for the Cincinatti region. Does Columbus or the Greater Ohio region have a similar book?

Hi Jessica! The educational information applies across all areas. That great listing they have by zip codes is not something we have in Columbus or for the state. Columbus does have a website called GetACtiveColumbus.com, which offers similar listings. I hope this helps!

I am a member of the Glen Helen Association board of Trustees. We run programs for children through the Glen Helen Ecology Institute at our outdoor education center. I am trying to get in touch with a local contact for No Child Left Indoors. Can you provide such a name for me?
    It would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

I signed up to help with the “Friday Crew” and “Post Summit breakdown” on Friday, September 27, but the confirmation email I received said to meet at the Audubon center on Thursday evening, which I cannot do. Let me know if I registered correctly.

Hi! So sorry for the confusion. You do not need to arrive on Thursday if you are volunteering Friday. I’ll look at my form settings and correct the error. Thanks for letting me know! Also, have you registered? Registration is now open!

  • Hello,
You recently received a notice from Barbara Velazques of Wild Ones in Columbus about the native plant conference to be held in Meigs County on April 17, 2014. This year’s conference deals specifically with educating young children and teenagers about gardening, biodiversity, and native plants. I do not believe that we have received any response from members of your organization. I would urge you to look at the flyer once again and realize just how significant this conference is and the high quality of the speakers. I hope to see many of you on April 17. If you have any questions, please contact me at my email address.

    Thank you,
    Dr. Frank W. Porter

Thank you Dr. Porter. Rest assured, we did pay attention to your notice. We published it on our blog (https://kidsandnature.org/blog/) and sent it out in our email newsletter to more than 300 environmental leaders in Central Ohio.
