Central Ohio has some excellent examples of outdoor classrooms, one most notably being New Albany Schools wetland complex. All buildings have access to the site and regularly use it within their lessons. Contact Bill Resch for more information.
You can find other local outdoor classrooms, or what we call WILD School Sites, on our website at www.wildohio.com Click on Educator Resources to find the link to our WILD School Sites program pages.

Hey Amy- it's finally spring. I hope your Green Thumb event went well. I've been getting things ready at Child's Play Learning Center,in Pickerington to proceed with the expansion of the outdoor learning environment. Recently ordered from Franklin's Tree & Fish Sale: 55 gallon rain barrel (great buy) and plant kit for their new rain garden- I'm so excited. Local farmers scheduled to plow and fertilize (donated cow manure) to put in the new garden area-children requested a larger garden to grow sweet corn-so they can donate to homeless shelter and a pumpkin patch for Fall Sell to raise money for next years planting needs. I would love for you to see the program -call me 614-374-9113 Barbara

Help central Ohio have the largest volunteer turnout for Earth Day in the country! Here's how: 1) register as volunteer and take your pick from among over 70 environmental service projects OR 2) register an environmental service project and be eligible for support from Green Columbus (the organization behind the last three central Ohio Earth Day celebrations).
